The Dead Walk the Earth

A small child ran into the park screaming. Lacey glared round the entrance nervously, and made her way towards the other side. She looked around her. Some idiot dripping all over the path, more children. BANG! The six year old boy stood in front of her, hand out for the ball that he had just thrown at her head. She chucked it in the pond angrily and watched as he ran off crying. She shifted her bag onto her other shoulder, and her laptop moved around inside. I need food. Lacey sighed, and trudged on down the path.

"Unfortunately yes, and i like annoying the manager!" She smiled and ordered a drink which would have to last her the night on her poor wages.
"Alyssa where have you been!?!" The manager boomed as his face turned bright red.
"Calm down your scaring the customers..."
"Just get changed or you won't have a job!"
"Yes sir!"

Personality:
*Shy and confused by what is right and what is wrong. As soon as she entered the land of the dead she lost herself and became corrupted by all of the evil around her.
Background:
*Killed by Trace, though doesn't really feel much hatred towards her for it, she's stuck in the land of the dead so why make enemies, she feels it will just make her time there a lot worse.
*Her life was full of arguments and betrayal at times she wanted to take her own life and got really close to suicide, then Trace killed her anyway; which is another reason why she isn't really that angry at Trace.

Quinn watched Alyssa walk off to get changed then looke at the menu
'woah! it IS expensive here....i can afford the shrimp, that'll do''
she also ordered 2 drinks that Quinn couldn't pronounce, but it was something to do with just about every berryknown to man, atleast as far as Quinn was concerned, one for her and one for Alyssa when she gets back, she owed her something for getting her into this place, and buying her something was all Quinn could think about at this moment
'i'm sure that i can pay her back sometime'

Nova sat in her room watching TV. It was some stupid documentory on sheep.
"I'M GOING CRAZY!" she yelled. She was sick of this dump. Suddenly the screen on TV changed.

"We are interrupting your programs and apologize in advance for this important newsflash. Strange sightings have been seen by the hilltop graveyard of some kind of moving creatures. Some say the dead are coming to haunt us. We think they're complete idiots. We're now going to the scene with Charles."

"I'm telling you these seem to be...zombies?"
"Brains..."
"Yes. Zombies. Or people messing about. Lets interview one! Excuse me! You sir! Yes I was wondering if you could spare a moment of your tim-AAAAAAARGH MY HEAD!"

Nova sprang up off of her bed instantly. Zombies? Cool! She grabbed a baseball bat from her cupboard that her dad had bought her in the hope of getting her into a sport to keep her out of trouble, and raced out of the house with her mum calling after her. Better safe than sorry. TO THE GRAVEYARD TO BE WITH THE ACTION!

Alyssa stared at the TV in the restaurant it had all gone quiet and she had stopped playing. suddenly everyone charged out of the restaurant and on to the streets.
"DOn't go it's probably some kids messing about," The manager cried as his money, sorry valued customers, ran out of the door.
"Well there's no point in me staying then..." Alyssa said and jumped off her stool, she violently pulled a sharp metal pole that was attatched to the bar,"You coming Quinn?"

"Milly! We're free!" Ariana exclaimed as she floated above the ground and became visible again,"I'm guessing by the sound of it the zombies are all out there..."
She looked at the ground, this is my chance to get a few questions asked... meaning my ex boyfriend and my best friend... maybe i should tell him he lead me to suicide...

Whut is it?: Vampire
Personality: She looks sweet and innocent, but is actually very evil. Lures her victims to her by looking small and lost. She hates and looks down upon all those she considers weaker, such as those with sympathy for the living. She is bitter that she died at such a young age, and is determined to make sure all the surviving members of her family die too.
Background: She is Laceys sister, and died mysteriously when out with friends. No one who was with her survived, so the mystery has remained unsolved.

Adeline burst from the gate of the dead and surveyed the open graveyard before her. For a moment, she allowed a look of triumph to cross her face; then she disdainfully picked her way between the raging zombies and out onto the streets, shoving another vampire out of the way.

The two girls were the only other people left in the restaurent, so Lacey studied them carefully. They weren't exactly similar... She bit her lip, but slowly approached them. They didn't seem to notice her, so...
"Um, excuse me?"

"Hi there!" Alyssa said in a friendly tone,"We're just about to kick zombie butt!" She raised her gold coloured metal bar,"Wanna come?"
She wondered whether the girl would follow her or not, she turned round and said,"I'm Alyssa by the way..."

As soon as she reached the graveyard she saw an evil looking girl thrashing wildly with a baseball bat,"OMG evil person!" She shouted before rushing up to her and starting a sword, well baseball bat and random metal pole fight.

Ariana floated above the surface of the graveyard, gliding through the cold stone gravestones, she couldn't really feel that they were cold she just knew, unless you saw her floating slightly or walking through gravestones she could pass of as a convincing human.

Trace walked out of the graveyard, she can easily pass off as a human, shes been in the human world before so she didn't need to run around in excitment, she was more..hungry then excited, a street to her is like an all you can eat buffet table, she couldn't wait to get started.
A woman ran past her, she looked quite frightened
''why arn't you running?! havn't you seen those..those THINGS?!'' she scard lady asked, Trace just stood there and smirked, then that smirk turned into a grin that a psycoath would pull before laughing manically.
Traces eyes turned yellow
''are you some kind of freak?!'' the woman screamed
''you could say that'' Trace continued to smile, she grew her claws and rushed up to the woman before she had the chance to escape

Quinn ran after Alyssa
''if this is a serious emergency shouldn't we go HOME insted of running into the damn graveyard!'' Quinn wasn't really scared, more tired, well...until she heard a woman scream a few streets away, i high pitched blood curdleing scream that was suddenly cut off
''okay you guys definatly heard that right?!''

"Erm kinda busy right now..." She pulled the pole up further and aimed for the head, she was suddenly blocked again,"Damn you!" She dug her heels in the ground for support, for once these restaurant uniform boots come in handy...

Ariana flew in and out of buildings she saw many cosy family scenes, she kept on working her way down the street until she found the right house, she stood in a corner and watched her in his arms. They both betrayed me, if being dead taught me anything it's never to trust anyone unless your absolutely sure they are on your side.

She flew above their head, she saw her 'best friend' and her ex-boyfriend shaking in eachothers arms, tears rolled down her cheeks and she turned invisible.

"Enjoy your life while you can it will soon be over..." She jeered in a silky voice.
"Who's there?"
"Doctor!"
"Doctor who?"
Ariana stifled a laugh, just because she was dead and supposedly on the side of evil didn't mean she didn't appreciate bad jokes and had fun once in a while.

She stood on the mat in front of then, well hovered, and then became visible,"You drove me to end my life and now i will end yours! Betrayal is an interesting thing see... But it wasn't the betrayal it was getting everyone to disown me, you have to pay the price for making my life worthless!"

Oh god what can i do!?!

Myra's eyes snapped open and a strong sense of fear took over her. She panicked as she thrashed her arms against her solid surroundings wondering where she could be, a quiet squeak from somewhere close stopped her assault on the unknown surroundings. She inhaled deeply and a sweet and familiar smell filled her nose. She remembered.
She remembered the night he had said he'd come for her, the night he was supposed to dig up her grave and save her. They would have finally been together, but he never came.
She ran her fingers across the deep scratches her nails had carved into the coffin lid that imprisoned her as the memories flooded back. She remembered the stranger, the stranger who had dug her up only to drive a cold wooden stake through her slowly beating heart, paralysing her and trapping the creature inside.

Only one thing remained unclear...how was she able to move, she forced her arm through the closed environment to her chest, the stake was no longer there then she remembered. The rodent squeaked as it gnawed at the chunk of wood it had finally managed to knock out of her chest. Myra watched it intently and a surge of hunger rose within her. She heard its little heart beat quickly in the dark and the hunger roared out of control. She felt the tiny creatures heart beat stop as her fangs sunk deep into its body. She had returned.

Lacey watched Alyssa from a distance. Nice fighting skills. She walked past the psycho with the baseball bat and her laptop beeped as she recieved a message- Probably her Mother being hysteric. An agonised scream ripped through her consciousness. Wincing, and biting her lip, she hurried towards its source. The heavens opened, which, in her opinion, completed the picture.

Adeline stepped delicately towards the mangled remains of another human. She sighed. They are an endless sea... Anyway, this looked like Trace's work. What luck. Just the sort of person that should be allowed into this world. Not like those who will not conform. Hearing the sound of footsteps, she melted into the darkness.

Nova had been one of the first to sprint down to the graveyard but she wasn't the only one. Lots of people crowded around, then ran for it screaming their heads off. Idiots.

Some other girl had started a sword fight with her. Great fun!
"Wouldn't it be more sensible to attack the zombies?" she asked and the girl looked confused.
"You're not a zombie."
"Hell no!"

"Of course she's not." Lacey interrupted. "Notice the lack of brain craving, and anyway, zombies can't swordfight." Everyone looked like they were wondering who the hell she was. "Lacey," she introduced herself, glancing up at the hill. "We'd better get moving. The dead are."
"Oh." said the girl she didn't know. "So they are." Lacey stared at them all in disbelief. It was obvious that she was easily the most intelligent person here. But that was ok. She was used to it.

"Oh right...sorry there," She shifted on the spot unaware of the giant ring of zombies that had suurounded them, she turned quickly to say something to Quinn and found herself face to face with a disgusting grey zombie.

"Brains..."

"Er... i don't have any!"

She quickly turned around to the girl she had been fighting,"I'm Alyssa by the way. Ready to kick some zombuie back to where they game from?"

"Hey guys you know that movie! With that guy! With that hair!"
"Oh yeah!"
"Like the one where they say 'You've got red on you.'"
"Like Shaun of the dead?"
"Yeah that's the one!"
"Yeah what about it?"
"Well didn't they have zombies? And didn't they get past 'em all by pretending to be zombies?" Nova grinned. She loved films.

"Right... er... how's this?" She asked and tipped her neck to the side and made a groaning sound, she dragged her metal bar across the floor with a limp arm, she was sure that she would need it later, she walked by un-noticed until suddenly she crashed into a gravestone.

"Ow!" She screamed,"Busted!" She cried and ran away hitting any zombies she's passed directly on the head,"So long suckers!"

Lacey turned to the nearest zombie and asked it politely to let her pass. It moved obligingly out of the way. "Ha" she yelled, and proceeded to follow Alyssa. Grinning, she realised that skill and thought won over violence anyday.

Nova shrugged and followed, swinging her bat above her head as she went. She loved the thrill of it all. She ran back to her house laughing her head off as the zombies staggered after her and burst through the door.

Her mum was stood in the hallway shaking. She seemed to have listened to Nova earlier and was wearing a slightly more casual blouse and smart trousers. Nova looked at her smart high heels and tutted.
"Mum if you want to join in the fun you want to be wearing trainers." Her mother just looked at her in shock. "Suit yourself then." And Nova raced up to her room to grab some things. She would rather be safe than sorry.

Alyssa waited patiently outside of Nova's door, she didn't want to intrude but she didn't want to be left outside alone, sha had a feeling Nova would come back out.

Can't stay in these clothes... She thought and looked at her smart work clothes, she had enough time to run back home and grab some stuff then get back...

Ariana tried her hardest to be scary but she just couldn't be scary enough, they weren't scared of her because she was once their friend and she knew herself she couldn't bring herself to hurt them.

Where's Milly when you need her...

Quinn was slowing walking backwards, away from all the fighting, until she bumped into someone, she let out a small scream expecting it to be a zombie.
She turned round to see a young woman with dark hair, her clothes spattered with blood
''you should see the carnage over there'' the woman said, shivering
''holy crud! you okay?'' Quinn asked worried putting her arm round the quvering woman
''yeah i'm fine...'' the woman let out a small laugh
''what's so funny?''
''this'' Trace said, digging her claws into Quinns side then laughng manically ''see, funny isn't it...no...awwwww you're no fun'' Trace said in a little kids voice
Quinn stumbled back hyperventilating, she knew it was stupid decision but she ran, clutching the deep wounds in her side, she kept running, following Alyssa
'damn laces' she thought as she tripped and fell on Alyssa, the gashes in her side were heavily bleeding from her raised heartbeat
''help..'' she managed to speak

Trace didn't run after her, she walked, knowing that her newest prey wouldn't get very far with the deep holes above her hip, she ws still smiling, a smile hardly ever leaves her face, shes happy with what she is and wouldn't trade it for the world.

Lacey walked up behind Alyssa and tapped her on the shoulder. Alyssa turned with a scream. "Hi." For a moment Lacey wondered whether the girl had stopped breathing. She had this effect sometimes.
Then she saw the massive gashes in the side of the girl Alyssa was talking to. "Oh god do you have a first aid kit? I do. Here..." She handed her a thick wad of bandages to stop the bloodflow.

How long had it been since she was trapped? minutes or years? she had no perception of time until she stepped outside of the dim lit mausoleum. Her deep purple eyes widened as she frnatically looked around her in fright at the lycathrope, were, spirits, vampires and other creatures of the night engaged in a blood battle against the humans. What age had she awakened in? Some human who was badly injured mistook her as her own kind and tossed a fire arm to her. She looked down at the weapon and then back at her surroundings. She didnt want part of this, if she was found out, she would be killed.

Aaron spun the pistol his father had bought him when they still lived together in his hand and tucked it into the back of his boxers at an angle he could easilly reach in case of emergency and slammed his door shut. The streets were flooded with panicked and frightened people and police officers commanding them to stay calm.

''thanks..'' Quinn grabbed the bandages ''there was this chick, i don't know what happened, first she was asking for help then she grew claws and stabbed me in the side'' Quinn finished wrapping the bandage round herself and looked at her surroundings
''whos up for finding some fire arms?'' Quinn asked jokily


Trace looked at the panic around her, her smile grew wider
''god i love this place''' she said aloud, people were too wrapped up in running around screaming to notice Trace walking through the streets with a small skip in her step, she could kill everyone if she wanted,
'but wheres the fun in that?' she asked herself in her head, she let out a slight laugh, then decided to give up on following the teenager, there was so much meat to go around, it's not like shes starving.
She stopped a man, mid-sprint and instantly broke his arm, people looked on in horror and ran screaming
''music to my ears'' she chimed before growing her claws

Milly wandered down the streets enjoying the pleasant breeze. Why were people running?
"Don't run away!" she called and began chasing a few other people. They screamed and ran into a nearby building. Dammit!

Nova grabbed a rucksack and began stuffing things into it. She didn't know how long she'd be out there enjoying herself. Most people were inside with locked doors and windows. Hah!

She shoved her mobile, a penknife (just in case), a torch so she wouldn't be stranded in the dark and a jumper into the bag. She ran to the kitchen and shoved an apple and some cereal bars into the bag as well and headed to the door.
"Mum, I'm going zombie slaying." she said with a grin and a gentle swing of her bat. Her mum ran forward trying to stop her but before she knew it, Nova was out of the door in a flash.
