"She was always fighting and being a bitch. I was lonely and depressed. And you... were there." Leon responded vaguely. "Now tell me why you did it. Why did you cheat on Alex?"

"What gives you the right to keep demanding things from me?!" Sophie argued down the phone, her voice cracking and breaking, "Alex! He was too foolish! He acted to young. He was so immature. And you. You aren't." Sophie replied wistfully and simply, "I did it because you were the easier option."

Leon laughed then and nearly gave himself away.
"Yeah, I'd rather go out with Alex than be pregnant." he hung up and stuffed the phone in his pocket.

He had to get out of the forest and tell somebody about it.

"What?!" Sophie stared at the phone in astonishment, "What?!" She sunk down, resting her head into her hands, "What..?"

"Leon?" Jake emerged from the bushes, nudging Cathy forwards, "What was that about?"

Leon jumped as he stared at them.
"Apparently that guy that ran away was called Seb. He dropped his phone and I meant to give it back but then it rang. I turned out to be Sophie, that pregnant girl so I answered it and it turns out Seb is the father." Leon explained with a confused expression.

Jake visibly twitched and took several seconds to catch his breath, "Are you sure you heard it right, Seb?" He shook his head, "You must have got it wrong..." Jake flipped open his phone and dialled Seb's number. He jumped as the phone Leon was holding rang.

"What are we going to do?" Catherine brought her hands to her mouth.

Leon looked hopelessly around him.
"First of all, get me the fuck out of this forest. Second of all, we might as well turn the phone in to Alex and tell him about it because he already knows he isn't the father." he suggested.

"Yeah," Jake nodded in agreement and pulled Cathy towards Leon. He grabbed his shoulder and focused on Maya's cabin. They crashlanded onto the roof and slid off the side, "Better than usual," Jake shrugged and dusted himself down.

Leon moaned and tried to stand up stiffly.
"You'd think you'd have mastered that by now." he complained as he examined his grazed hands.

Saphira's eyes flickered open as a huge banging noise slapped the roof and thudded to the ground outside.
"What was that?" Lexy asked out of horror.
"Probably just a pigeon landing on the roof. They're getting quite fat." Josh answered absentmindedly.

"Next time you teleport three people half a mile in a strange place without knowing how to properly control your power..." Jake replied, "Okay?"

He dusted himself down and held out a hand to Catherine, pulling her to her feet, "Right, who wants to break the good news?"

"You're the older more responsible one." Leon insisted as he shoved the phone in Jake's pocket and ran towards the glowing embers that must be the campfires in the distance. He was hungry and he wanted to see if there was anything left for him.

When he got there, he discovered several of the teachers desperately eating the scraps of food the students had left behind. It took a lot of effort for Leon not to throw up.

"I'll give you older... But more responsible?!" Jake exclaimed, are you serious. Gathering that he was serious Jake gently tapped on the door and stepped inside, "Alex... Can I speak to you a second?"

Catherine stood for a few moments then ran after Leon, standing behind him for a second watching him eat the scraps of food. She reached into her back and pulled out a KitKat, "Here," She smiled, "Though couldn't you just conjure something from your head?"

"I could do but I'd hate to let the teachers eat this stuff." Leon explained as he chewed on the last of the meat.

Alex looked at Jake with a confused expression.
"What, like in private?"

Saphira sat up awkwardly.
"I'm okay now." she insisted as she tried to get up. Josh helped her stand up carefully.

"Just freeze," She waved her hand in front of him, immobilising his body, "You can get rid of it in other ways! You don't need to eat it."

"Kind of..." Jake said carefully, "It's important."

Josh froze suddenly.
"I just got the strangest feeling that I've forgotten something really important."

Leon looked miserably at Cathy, waiting for her to unfreeze him.

"Hm..." Jake stared at Josh for a few moments then turned back to Alex, "You coming?" He held open the door, "Oh!" He replied with an after thought, "If anyone sees Maya let her know I asked after her... Haven't seen her in ages..."

Catherine clicked her fingers, giving him back the ability to move, "Right. No eating. Conjure something."

Maya glared at thin air, her entire body was cold and shaking, her teeth chattering in the cool night air. She wished she'd worn more than a t-shirt and shorts. Then again, she'd never expected to have been stranded outside. She babbled incoherently under her breath.

Leon shrugged.
"Not really hungry anyway. Where's Tom?" he asked, wondering where he had been lately.

Alex stepped outside and followed Jake absentmindedly.
"What is it?" he asked unsurely.

"Erm," Jake took a deep breath, "Leon found a phone earlier... and got a call..." Jake began, "The call was from Sophie... She was speaking to the father of her baby."

He paused to let the information sink in.

"He went off in a mood earlier because of who he had to share a cabin with," Catherine pursed her lips, "He was pretty unhappy."

Tom stood on the beach throwing stones into the sea, "Stupid trip," He threw another, "Stupid school," He threw a bigger stone.

Leon rolled his eyes.
"Well if he had been nicer, maybe I'd have chosen to share with him." he complained.

Alex stared at Jake awkwardly.
"...What?" he eventually asked.

"Oh, give him a break," Catherine sighed and sat down on the sand, "You both just need to calm down, you're both extroverted confident people... So your personalities either clash or gel really well," She struggled to find a reason, "Bottom line is, I've known the guy for like forever and he's alright." She shrugged, "Give him a chance?" She smiled.

Jake shook his head in frustration and rubbed his eyes. He pulled the phone from his pocket and tossed it over to Alex, "It's Seb's," He stated simply, "Check the call history."

"Seb..?" Alex asked bluntly as he struggled to understand what was going on and couldn't put a name to her face.

"Emo kid... Mayleen's boyfriend? He left for a couple of years with her," Jake struggled to explain.

"...That emo kid is better than me?" Alex asked out of confusion. He was beginning to feel angry. "He's dead." Jake grabbed his arm and pulled him back.
"You can't let him know you know."
"Why not? I already left an angry message on the answer phone."

"I know, but she obviously hasn't heard it yet," Jake paused trying to think of anyway he could to dissuade him. He grabbed the phone back and dialled Sophie's number, "Hi, Sophie." He changed his voice slightly and passed the phone to Alex.

"Oh good!" Sophie breathed a sigh of relief, "You got your phone back."

Alex shuddered and dropped the phone. The sound of Sophie's voice made him want to cry. He turned away and started walking towards the woods.
"Give me some time." he insisted.

Leon shrugged.
"I tried to be nice to him." he muttered sadly.
