Silverdale Boarding School For The Gifted II

"Nothing just a misunderstanding" Liling chirped and her eyes returned to their normal colour. She felt weak and vunerable as she always did after the change back but smiled sweetly at the girl.
"Nice to meet you" she exclaimed and hopped away almost in a skipping fashion.

Seth sat playing an extremly violent game in the lounge with all the blinds drawn shut and a packet of delicious warm cookies next to him.

Maya crafted a tiny shape with her hands, she made sure she was as far away from the staffroom as possible, he probably had creepy binoculars or something.

Serra swooped pat her and her shape suddenly froze midway through what she was doing.

"Oh great," Maya muttered sarcastically and got up from the place she was kneeling,"Great, another failed attempt, i was meant to practice for next week," She said to herself gripping the ice tightly, she jumped slightly as she found her own nails digging into the palm of her hand,"OK are there any pyrokenetics in the area..."

Hold on maybe i can change the state of water, She leaned downwards and hovered her hand over the puddle of water, it slowly evaporated into a gas. It's probably a sign of my power advancing due to growing up or something She thought of the most logical explanation she possibly could, Oh god! If it's that what is going to happen to Tom he could permanently blind me or something!

OOC: C said i could let Maya change the state of water

''wierdo'' Katia said under her breath watching LiLing skip off ''you okay Hayden?''
''what do you think!'' she screamed pushing past Katia
Katia then shoved her into a wall...hard
''hopefully i just broke your shoulder'' she said walking off.

''i love ghost stories'' Carter said to matt ''i love horror movies too, i watch them with my cousin Ally, i just like surprises and they always have histories and great story lines, and people with axes or chainsaws or huge bloodthirsty creatures with huge red eyes that jump out at you when you least expect it'' they walked in silence for a couple minutes, then Carter jumped infront of matt, quickly turning wrath, with her face close to his, making his almost topple over in surprise
''when you least expect it'' she looked around for any teachers before turning back to herself

Matt gave out a little yelp of surprise, looking around for Mr Laferth, he could've been anywhere at the time.

Sophie sat down on the bench next to Danny.
"Seriously, I don't understand what's so exciting about this guy..." She sighed.
"Well I want to find out if he really hasn't got any powers or if he's one of those weird people who attention seek." Danny exclaimed, pointing at the piece of paper.

Serra knew she hadn't gotten to grips with this cold thing. Before she knew it she was perfectly visible and covered in ice, Maya seemed to be thawing her out.

Claire walked away from the lower schoolers as break was going to end soon. She wondered what teaching arrangements had been made for free period.

Seth sat on his bed staring at a photograph of him and Maya, sometime it made him cry to think of her but every time he saw her smile the world seemed just that little bit brighter. Maybe she wouldnt even look at him now afer what happened in class he had no way of knowing. Finally he had decided to get rid of the keepsakes and gifts connecting them.

Kyra and Tyler left her dorm and walked outside to get some fresh air. Several people pointed and shook their heads recalling pervious events as they walked hand in hand oblivious to those who surrounded them.
"Hey Saphira" Kyra chirped as she approached a group of freinds.

"Oh hey Kyra!" chirped Saphira cheerfully and then she spotted Tyler. "Hello Tyler." This time her voice was colder slightly. She was sick of how this guy kept running off and leaving Kyra in fits. It was getting irritating now.

Lexy walked around the school grounds looking for Danny. She couldn't find him anywhere and it was annoying her at the moment. Then she spotted him and his cousin sat on a bench not far away. She started to walk towards them then a hurricane of flesh, bone and heavy shoes collided with her and crushed her toe.
"I'm so sorry!" cried a voice and the person walked away quickly.

Leon was furious with himself. Only been here five minutes and he was crashing into people. He stopped to tie his shoe lace. He wasn't going to let that happen again. Hopefully the girl who he recognized from drama didn't hate him for nearly squashing her.

"Gentleman and the few girls that have managed to squish into the boys lounge! I bring you the annual eyebrow burning endurance competition! I'm Alex and today we're watching Josh and some random kid I don't know..." Alex pulled a kid out of the audience to the front as he spoke "burn their eyebrows off!"

People cheered and Alex clicked his finger into a flame.
"The aim of the competition is simple. All our contestants have to do is last longer then the other opponent to win. And what do they win? Well um... Bragging rights! Lets start now!"

Ruby got dressed in her room. She was feeling a little better now and decided she was ready to endure school. She could be late. Nobody would really notice.

Carter was laughing, with her annoying high pitched giggle,
''scardy cat'' she chanted to matt ''i'm such a kid''

Katia spotted Kyra and Tyler together, and she sighed
''so predictable'' she said thinking of all the times tylers let kyra down. Katia quckly got out of the area before Kyra even so much as looked at her, and she walked into the lounge, only to see the crazy competition
''WHAT the HELL is WRONG with this school?'' she shouted before once again turning away, heading for her next class even though break wasn't even over yet.

Alex stood between them with both hands alight.
"Start the timer please!" he called and whoosh two eyebrows smouldering.
The kid he'd pulled outta the audience looked terrified and Josh didn't look too great himself.

Saphira stood in awkward silence with Kyra.
"I have to go." she said and she pushed her way to the boys lounge to find Josh.

The bell screamed for people to get to their next lesson, it was maths, with the cover teacher, in the dullest classroom they could find. Joy.

Serra tried to warm herself back up, and made a mental note not to try cold again for a while.
She shivered as she walked into the classroom, this teacher seemed pretty gullable, she wanted to use cold with the ghost stories, but now she knew it wouldn't be a good idea.

Claire took her seat for maths, she finally thought of a way to use her powers besides turning the water into crystal, she was just going to manipulate emotions, to fear, a heck of alot of it too.

Danny put the bit of paper in his pocket and made his way to maths with Sophie, he hadn't seen Lexy all break but he'd talked to Sophie more than before.

Matt walked to his lesson with Carter, trying to think of an ending to add to the song he was attempting to write.

Sophie wondered why her cousin was so interested in the cover teacher's name, so what if he had powers, the worst he could do is try and get revenge, in which case it'd be a whole class against one teacher, although, the teacher probably had more control over his powers than the rest of them.

Katia was first person in the maths room, she was leaning back on her chair watching people come in.

Carter sat down then looked at the sheet of paper infront of Matt
''writing a song?'' Carter asked, then noticed that he was tapping the paper with his pen ''if you need help you can always ask me, i've been playing guitar since i was 7, or you can ask Kat, shes written tons of songs for her and her band''

Maya stared at the paper in fron of her, none of the words semmed to process inside her head... she knew exactly what she had to do she simply just could not do it.
"I give up!" She exclaimed a little too loudly,"Stupid cover teacher stopping me from learning," Maya muttered as she bashed her head on the desk.
"Problem Miss Winter?" Mr Laferth asked,"What is this about me disrupting your learning?"
"Nothing sir nothing at all..." Maya said as he walked off,"Except the fact that your creepy,"She whispered at the fact he seemed to appear when she was doing something wrong.
"Did you say something?" He asked again, she knew too well that he knew what she had said. Argh creepy spy binoculars and extra sensitive hearing.
"Why are you picking on me? It was... her," She pointed as some unsuspecting student who gulped as she recieved a paranoid stare.

Claire sunk in her chair as Mr Laferth stared at her, she didn't know what she'd done wrong.
"What... What... SERIOUSLY WHAT?!" Claire was almost throwing a fit in her chair.
"Don't say things behind my back, it's rude." He stated and turned around to continue with the lesson. Claire tried to regain her breath and turned to Maya.
"What the hell was that for?!" She whispered, but shouted at the same time.

Serra giggled as her sister was tourmented by the teacher.

Matt turned around to Carter.
"Yeah, I'm trying to think of an ending, see what you think might fit." He handed the unfinished song to Carter and she read through it.

"Trust me you got in less trouble than me...sorry," Maya said back,"Feel free to get me back at any time..." She returned to bashing her head on the desk.
"CREEPY.... PHYSICS... RULES... CHEMISTS SUCK... DIE... DIE... CREEPY... 41E... DRUGS... DIE...WHAT... THE... HELL!" She continued not even noticing the words she was shouting into her coat with muffled the sound.
When she returned again Jake pulled her back,"Why did you get your friend into trouble?"
"God it was only a joke lighten up... and anyway i pointed in a random direction..." Maya replied.
"But you got her into trouble..."
"No i didn't he doesn't care watch..." She rose from her seat and grabbed a sheet of paper, she held up a sign and yelled the word on it at the teacher,"Creepy!"
Mr Laferth turned and rubbed his forehead and shot a paranoid stare at her.
"See," She smiled back at Jake,"Have you seen Tom or Cathy anywhere?"

Kyra sat with her head on the desk not paying attention to the equational gibberish going on ahead of her.
"Head up Miss Sasin" the teacher commanded
"Oh no! gravity is increasing on me" Kyra commnted dryly as she went back to day dreaming.

Tyler kicked the door open and dragged his feet over to a spare desk. Mr Laferth stared at him with oen eye twitching as he threw himself down into a seat.
"What?"

"Is it just me or is this place like, the room of doom now?" Claire whispered to Maya, she nodded back.
Claire listened to Kyra's little comment to the teacher and tried to stop herself from laughing.
"What the heck do these equations mean?" Serra nudged Claire.
"I don't know and I don't care, It's not funny when he stares at you so if I were you I'd turn back around and leave me alone." Claire snapped back, she wasn't in a good mood with her sister for some reason.

Maya sighed as a kid at the front asked some sort of chemistry question...i even prefer maths to chemistry, Mr Laferth sighed being the physics teacher he was but got up and started pointing at the large diagram of the periodic table.

"SIR! SIR! how are you flying," A boy with long hair exclaimed as he couldn't see sirs feet behind the row of heads, Maya laughed and started to shake the bench slightly, though it did that anyway and Maya found it harder and harder to write with sir walking all over the benches.

"Are you doing any work Miss Winter?"
"Yes sir!"
"How do you find the area of a circle?"
"Pi times the radius squared..."
"NO! Wait ... yes... carry on then," He muttered admitting defeat.
Maya continued to stare at the wall and decided to have some reflective thought as she usually didn't get any peace.

Katia rolled her eyes and sighed at the people messing about or getting into fights, she started to right down the question answers, even though she didnt understand most of them.

Carter wrote some notes down on the paper and handed it back to Matt
''there you go'' she said before looking at the questions
''errrrrr.......'' Carter isn't good at maths, as her maths teachers from the past know.

Claire began to get annoyed by the teacher walking around on the benches, she tried to throw her pen out in the way, instead he just stood on it and crushed it.
"SIR YOU HAVE TO BUY ME A NEW PEN NOW!" She yelled.
"Well it shouldn't have been in the way." He said as he picked up the remains of the writing implement.
"Well I was about to get it but I'd rather you broke the pen than my fingers." Claire gave out a loud sigh as the teacher jumped off the desk. The computer was still broken from Matt blowing the fuse, and he attempted to switch it on. It sparked a little but stayed where it was.
"Wake up." He huffed.
"WAKE UP." He yelled this time.
"FOR GOODNESS SAKE WAKE UP! I have a hammer!" He yelled as he picked up a little hammer from one of the woodwork cupboards.

Sophies watched as the teacher attempted to hit the computer with a hammer. She clutched her stomach when she got a horrible feeling. She tried to concentrate on the maths questions infront of her.

Danny rolled his pen around on the desk, but making sure it wasn't going to get crushed by the giant feet stomping around.

Matt looked at the ending Carter had written and hummed it in his head whilst tapping the beat with his pen.
"Wow, that's pretty much perfect! Thanks for that." He smiled and turned back around, just changing one or two of the notes to fit.

Serra huffed as her sister shouted at her, something was weird about her breath though, it looked a little like she was breathing fire, she tried again, this time a little flame came with it, this wasn't good. She was losing control of her powers, with a mortal teacher in the room. She tried to keep her mouth shut tight but it didn't seem to be working.

''oh stuff it!'' Carter said trowing her pencil down, completely giving up on the questions ''i don't need maths to be a hairdresser so whats the point'' she leened back on her chair with her hands behind her head, she wasn't bothered about weather the teacher was looking at her or not, she seriously couldn't give a damn.

''Jesus Carter i didn't know you hated maths that much'' Katia said sarcasticly (who was sitting behind her by the way)

Alex looked over at Sophie as she gasped in what seemed to be pain.
"You ok?" she nodded grimly and he turned back to his drawing of the cover teacher with a load of bombs being thrown at his rear end by the headmistress. Josh peered over his shoulder to see what he was doing.
"You got all the proportions done wrong!" he said before taking the picture and fixing it.

Saphira looked at Josh as he worked with a look of curiosity.
"May I ask where your eyebrows are?"
"Burnt them off."
"Why?"
"Gloating rights."
"You win?"
"Not exactly..."

Alex tapped his fingers on the desk. No drawing any more and he was bored. Time for some ADVENTURE! As the teacher walked past he shot a lick of flame towards his ugly green and blue tie. Result.

Sophie giggled as the teacher's tie turned to ashes at the tip, it took her mind off her achey stomach.

Danny rolled his pen around on his desk, before turning to Tom,
"Hey, I'm bored of this guy, can you help me get the others to do something, like a big group trick or something?" He wispered, he'd been dying to play a big prank all year.

Serra was struggling to keep her mouth closed for so long, she could feel the fire inside her burning, She couldn't resist any longer, she had to get up and walk out the classroom.
"WHERE ARE YOU GOING?!" Mr Laferth shouted, Serra didn't reply, her pace got faster, she had to get to somewhere with water, and fast. The teacher tried to follow her but gave up halfway down the corridoor and turned back towards the classroom.
Claire wondered what was wrong with her sister, she had to go and support her, even if she didn't like her that much.
"Oh not another one!" The teacher shouted.
"She's my sister! I've got to go help her!" Claire slammed the door shut and followed Serra EF towards her dorm, there, she found Serra hovering over the sink, gasping for breath.

Tom blinked and put his devious mind to work,"I'm sure we could think of something suitable... "
Catherine spun round on her chair,"I hear evil plotting can i join?"
"Any ideas?"

Maya stared more and more, her boredom increased every second... she yawned and stretched her arms our and accidentally hit the person either side.
"Sorry," She said before sliding down the chair so only the top of her head was visible, Maya had finished the work ages ago since Maths was one of ehr strongest subjects, along with art when she wasn't a danger to everyone in the room.

Josh sat listening to them. Stuff their plan. He was going to entertain himself without them planning. Time for some fun. Time for some Alex style entertainment. He cleared his throat then threw himself at the floor in front of the teacher.
"Josh want a biscuit."
"Pardon?!"
"JOSH WANT A BISCUIT! JOSH WANT A BISCUIT!" he began to chant it grinning and a few students nearby started to join in to. Heh heh heh... Fun...

"Oh for goodness sake" Sophie rolled her eyes at Josh rolling on the floor yelling.

Danny just laughed at the boy who'd thrown himself to the floor screaming something about biscuits, he wondered where the two girls had gone, but he couldn't help but draw all his attention to the boy having a strange fit on the floor

"Are you ok Serra?!" Claire rubbed her sister's back thinking she was going to be sick.
"I can't control it..." Serra coughed, a burning sensation took over her throat. A small flame came from the back of her mouth when she spoke.
"Oh lord not again." Claire looked around for a towel and began to run a freezing bath.
"Just get in, the quicker you get in, the quicker it'll help." Claire pointed at the bath, Serra climbed in fully clothed and lay down. Her hair floated all around her as smoke errupted from her nose. Her hair was gradually turning a strange shade of red. This was only the 3rd time this had happened. Once when she was 3, again when she was 8 and now, but now was worse, her parents weren't there to help. Claire had to try and look after Serra by herself.
Claire flicked the tap off as Serra tried to catch her breath in the freezing water. It felt like she was a fireball covered in ice, boiling on the inside and frozen on the outside.

Now it was just a matter of waiting.

Matt raised one eyebrow at the strange boy on the floor, he wasn't exactly a caring person so instead he continued to hum his new song.

"Oh forget it i can't be bothered with this..." Maya muttered.
"Your not exactly being yourself today... don't you care about your education?" Jake asked.
"I do but if i want to be a powers class teacher when im older and i can do maths really well and nothing is getting done then what's the point in behaving properly, this is the one day i can behave out of character and be someone else..."
"Why would you want to be someone else?"
"Because it's fun to break out of a long-lived mould and behave like your someone else... or maybe i really am becoming a different."
"Well i don't like the person your turning out to be..." Jake said.
"Well it's not like you know me properly anyway, whenever i try to talk to you, your always busy or you just can't be bothered. I don't think you know anything about me..." Maya stared down at the desk.
"Sure i do," He defended himself.
"What's my favourite song, colour, band and artist..."
"I don't know..."
"Exactly!"

"Hey Leon!" Tom shouted,"Can you think of anything big we can do to the teacher!"
"Yeah, some of Tom's ideas are really creepy..." Catherine elbowed him.
"Ow! We need something creepy for a creepy teacher," He winked.
